Do You Need Help Defining Your Personal Mission Statement?

As announced in my July newsletter, this month we will launch LifePlan, a smartphone and tablet app initially available for iPhones and iPads.\r\n\r\nFollowing the blog entries published in July, I will continue to provide additional details on how LifePlan can improve your life results.\r\n\r\nIn this article, I want to outline portions of an exercise included in LifePlan, which are aimed at inviting you to envision the life you want to create for yourself.\r\n\r\nThe exercise is called “My Eulogy,” and it asks you to fast-forward to the end of your life. As strange as it may sound, this exercise helped me develop my original mission statement over 25 years ago, and it has helped others as well. Here are some of the questions LifePlan asks you to imagine:\r\n\r\n• Who is attending your funeral?\r\n• Who has stood up to give your eulogy?\r\n• What will be mentioned about you in your eulogy?\r\n• What kind of a person do you want the funeral participants to think you were?\r\n\r\nThe beauty of this exercise is it helps you fulfill the first part of a key personal leadership concept:\r\n\r\n1. Envision the kind of life you wish to live.\r\n2. Write it down in the form of a personal mission statement.\r\n3. Live the life you have envisioned 24/7.\r\n\r\nStay tuned for more news about LifePlan next Monday.\r\n\r\nUse this link to be added to the waiting list for LifePlan.\r\n\r\nPercy M.
